Anita Lee landed her first job in the beauty industry in her late teens, and through her tenacious and inspiring drive to succeed, has built an impressive portfolio as a hair stylist, makeup artist, wedding professional, and beauty educator. She has just opened her first stand-alone shop, Helmet Salon, at 3722 Oak Street in Vancouver.

The full-service salon offers a variety of services including hair consultation and styling, makeup application, wedding packages, lash extensions by artist Koko Mochizuki, and brow micro-blading by Anna Chow. The Helmet team consists of full-time staff members Annie Tran and Tammy Lim.

Helmet Salon uses La Biosthétique Paris products exclusively. The extensive French product line, manufactured in Germany, includes hair and scalp care, make-up, and skin care. “I decided to partner with them because their products are natural and of the highest quality. They are a family oriented company and we share the same values – teamwork, community, and excellence. I am very proud to be a La Biosthétique makeup Educator and Brand Ambassador.

Helmet was designed by the award winning firm House of Bohn. The intimate, modern studio features natural wood elements and contemporary lines throughout creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Helmet represents a crown or protective covering and describes Anita’s love for her craft and the care she has for each client. “Helmet has definitely been a passion project of mine and a dream in the making,” says Anita. “I’ve always been a creative person and being able to make my clients feel extra beautiful for their big day, special event, or just because, is a great feeling.”
